For my research I looked Thematic Mapping images of the locaiton of our choice.  I was required to come up with a research question, run our images through moduels on the program Idrisi, then present on our findings at the end of the semester.

 

I chose to look at the land cover changes of two cities, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and El Paso, Texas.  From running these images through the moduels, and developing change maps, I was able to see exactly what I was questioning in the begining of my research.  Over the span of about 30 years, both cities increased in urbanization, turning what was once barren soil to urban development.
